Bill's background is in sales, distribution, and project management. Bill worked for seventeen years for Olympic Boat Centers, the world's largest recreational boat dealership in the Seattle area. In his early thirties he was the General Manager of their flagship #1 store managing a ten million dollar a year budget.
Bill became a real estate agent for John L Scott in Kent, Washington in 1996 and renewed his license on Lopez Island as a broker for Lopez Village Properties in 2019. Bill worked for Sunset Builders Supply on Lopez Island in sales and inventory control for over eight years before going full time in real estate.
Bill has been a volunteer on Lopez Island since 2010 when he and his wife moved there. He is on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce and is the Chair of the Property Management Committee for the affordable housing nonprofit, Housing Lopez.
After fourteen seasons of managing the care and display of 300,000 Christmas trees annually at Home Depot stores across Southern and Central California, he retired from his seasonal job with Oregon-based Holiday Tree Farms.
In addition to his experience in the business world, Bill's hobbies include being a guitarist, composer, music instructor, event organizer, wedding DJ, emcee, artist, actor, photographer, gardener, and an author of two books.
Bill has been married to Karen since 1994 and is a stepfather to five adults and a grandfather to their five children.
